Hey there! I’m absolutely thrilled to share the beautiful journey of creating a brand identity for the wonderfully talented local artist, Katie Ascyue, who brings her visions to life under the artist name Katie Hamilton. This project was a heartfelt exploration of tradition, family roots, and the natural beauty that surrounds us, all of which are central themes in Katie's artwork.

Katie’s art is a loving tribute to the comfort of home and the ephemeral beauty of floral bouquets, especially those from weddings. Her work captures the delicate balance between permanence and transience, a theme we wanted to reflect in her brand identity. Additionally, Katie's venture into custom abstract work with a seasonal twist added a vibrant layer to our design challenge. My goal was to weave all these elements into a cohesive brand identity that felt true to her and her art.

Inspired by Katie’s deep connection to her family roots and the traditional nature of her art, I chose a design path that echoed these values. The logo, a stylized monogram combining the letters 'K' and 'H', was crafted to reflect the elegance and personal touch of Katie’s artwork.

Typography played a crucial role in tying Katie’s brand identity together. I chose a font that resonated with the timeless elegance of her traditional works yet was flexible enough to complement her modern abstract pieces. This duality ensured that Katie’s branding would be as versatile and dynamic as her art.
